Strategic partnership is now into its 13th consecutive year

29 MARCH 2022 – Axalta (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, has upgraded its support to the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team, to become Official Sponsor for the 2022 MotoGP World Championship season, which started in Qatar at Losail International Circuit on 4 March and runs until 6 November 2022.  

Axalta has been working with the Yamaha Factory Racing Team for 13 consecutive years. This year, the agreement sees Cromax®, one of Axalta’s premium refinish brands, supporting the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team with the brand’s highly productive paint systems on the team’s new support trucks, mechanics’ toolboxes, workbenches and other essential pit lane equipment. Reigning World Champion Fabio Quartararo, and his team mate Franco Morbidelli, are riding for the team in the MotoGP 2022 season.

Quartararo and Morbidelli’s equipment, including the legendary Yamaha YZR-M1 bikes, will be transported all over Europe in the new Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team trucks, which will be painted with Cromax paint systems and sport the Axalta logo.
